We are thrilled to invite you to join the Shopping App team at Decathlon Digital. As we expand our reach into seven new markets this year with the goal of operating in over 35 countries, we are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help us maintain our high user satisfaction ratings. Our mission is to become the premier mobile destination for sports enthusiasts by providing a seamless, personalized, and eco-friendly shopping experience. You will play a key role in our digital transformation by evolving our Back for Front architecture, which simplifies our complex information systems into global, contract-based APIs.
What you'll be doing
- You will design and deploy high-performance, secure, and scalable solutions while championing a you build it, you run it approach within your feature team.
- You will act as a technical leader, making structural decisions and ensuring code quality through collaborative practices like pair programming and thorough code reviews.
- You will actively contribute to our tech community and guild, sharing your expertise and helping us evolve our engineering standards.
What you'll bring
- You possess at least 5 years of professional experience in Node.js development and have a strong interest in cloud-native technologies.
- You have a deep understanding of software craftsmanship, including clean architecture, design patterns, and testable code.
- You are comfortable working with TypeScript, GCP, and Kubernetes in a fast-paced environment.
- You are proficient in both English and French, as you will be collaborating with international partners and teammates on a daily basis.
- You are familiar with modern collaboration tools such as GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
