The role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote-first position where you will work alongside our clients to build innovative, high-impact products. We value curiosity, a test-first mindset, and a collaborative spirit. As a consultant, you will be expected to maintain the highest standards of engineering while sharing your knowledge with your peers in an agile environment.
Core responsibilities

Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should bring a strong background in modern cloud engineering and a passion for problem-solving. We require the following qualifications:
- Proven commercial experience working with TypeScript.
- Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation.
- A solid understanding of cloud computing services and distributed systems.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as serverless architectures like AWS Lambda.
- Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines and using distributed version control systems like Git.
- A commitment to quality through rigorous testing practices.
Compensation and benefits
We are committed to supporting our team members both professionally and personally. In addition to a remote-first working environment, you will have access to the following:
- Company private healthcare and mental health support via the Spill app.
- Access to meditation and sleep support through Headspace or Calm.
- 25 days of annual holiday, plus public holidays.
- Enhanced, fully paid maternity and paternity leave for up to 6 months.
- An annual allowance of €2000 for training and conferences, plus €300 for hardware.
- Performance-based bonuses, a company laptop, and referral incentives.
How to apply
If you are a proactive engineer who thrives in a collaborative, ethical, and fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Our recruitment process typically begins with a 30 to 45-minute conversation with our talent team, followed by a brief one-hour take-home challenge. The final stage is a 90-minute technical interview with our senior developers. Please reach out to our team to start your journey with us.
