Responsibilities

Design and build robust backend systems to support our compensation planning and market pricing products.
Collaborate within agile, cross-functional teams to move quickly from ideation and scoping to execution.
Navigate ambiguity while iterating on requirements with partners to deliver high-impact features.
Maintain a strong focus on system performance, scalability, and long-term architectural health.
Balance the need for rapid shipping of new functionality with the necessity of investing in sound, sustainable architecture.

Must-haves

At least 5 years of backend engineering experience using modern web technologies, specifically TypeScript, React, Node/Express, and MySQL.
A proven track record of building at technology companies.
Strong architectural intuition regarding system design and continuous improvement.
A product-centric mindset that allows you to empathize with customers and make the right tradeoffs for feature development.
Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

Previous experience working at B2B SaaS companies, particularly those in a hypergrowth stage.
