Having raised over $235 million to date, including a Series B round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, we are currently seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. We are looking for someone who is ready to help us reimagine the online customer experience.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to design, specify, and build elegant, scalable solutions across our platforms.
Develop new APIs using the Elixir Phoenix framework to power our core product offerings.
Optimize system performance by crafting efficient PostgreSQL and Cassandra queries, implementing high-performance indices, and utilizing Redis for improved scalability.

Requirements

A Master’s degree in computer science, computer programming, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience designing high-performance RESTful web services that handle billions of requests daily.
Proficiency in writing GraphQL queries and mutations, along with extensive experience in SQL infrastructure and data modeling.
A start-up mindset, characterized by a hunger for rapid learning, the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, and a talent for balancing multiple priorities.
Advanced production experience with Elixir and Python is highly preferred.
Expertise in video streaming technologies, such as FFmpeg, GStreamer, or WebRTC, is considered a significant advantage.

What we offer

The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 USD. In addition to base compensation, we provide the following benefits:
