Having raised over $235 million to date, including a Series B round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, we are currently seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. We are looking for someone who is ready to help us reimagine the online customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to design, specify, and build elegant, scalable solutions across our platforms.
- Develop new APIs using the Elixir Phoenix framework to power our core product offerings.
- Optimize system performance by crafting efficient PostgreSQL and Cassandra queries, implementing high-performance indices, and utilizing Redis for improved scalability.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in computer science, computer programming, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience designing high-performance RESTful web services that handle billions of requests daily.
- Proficiency in writing GraphQL queries and mutations, along with extensive experience in SQL infrastructure and data modeling.
- A start-up mindset, characterized by a hunger for rapid learning, the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, and a talent for balancing multiple priorities.
- Advanced production experience with Elixir and Python is highly preferred.
- Expertise in video streaming technologies, such as FFmpeg, GStreamer, or WebRTC, is considered a significant advantage.
What we offer
The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 USD. In addition to base compensation, we provide the following benefits:
