Backend Software Engineer at Treasury Prime

Are you ready to help us modernize the financial industry by building the infrastructure that connects developers directly to banking systems? At Treasury Prime, we are replacing outdated mainframe software to make it seamless for fintech companies to launch products like custom debit cards and payment services. We are a growing team of about 40 people, and we are looking for someone to join us as a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help us scale our platform during this exciting phase of our journey.

What you bring

In this full-time role, you will be a key contributor to our backend systems, working with technologies like Clojure, Postgres, and AWS. You will operate in a hybrid environment with team members located across the United States and Canada. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing, building, and maintaining our core banking APIs and infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting and resolving production issues across our entire stack.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to launch and refine new product features.

Requirements

We value engineering excellence and systematic thinking above all else. While we use specific tools, we believe great engineers can adapt quickly, so we prioritize your ability to write high-quality, reliable code over mastery of a single language. You should have at least three years of experience shipping high-quality products and a strong background in building APIs or ledger systems. We are looking for someone who communicates complex ideas clearly, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and is committed to building exceptional products. Proficiency in English is required for this role.

What we offer

We believe in rewarding our team for their hard work and dedication. For this position, the salary range is 150,000 to 180,000 USD for candidates in the United States, and 112,500 to 135,000 CAD for candidates in Canada. In addition to competitive compensation, we provide the following benefits:
