The opportunity
As a Junior Backend Software Engineer you will help shape the services that power our end-to-end healthcare model. Working in a hybrid setup, you will join a cross-functional group that turns new ideas into reliable, scalable products used by thousands of patients and clinicians. Your code will sit at the heart of mission-critical systems that must stay fast, secure, and easy to evolve.
A day in the life
- You might start the morning reviewing an open pull request that introduces a new event-driven workflow, then pair with a teammate to refine the design before lunch.
- In the afternoon you could investigate a data-intensive feature, writing clean C# services that talk to SQL Server and AWS while making sure every query stays fast and maintainable.
- Before you log off you might join a quick Agile stand-up, share progress on a proof-of-concept, and note the next small experiment you want to try with container tooling.
Who you are
You hold a BS or MS in Computer Science or have gained one to three years of professional development experience. You bring solid .NET skills, feel comfortable writing C#, and have worked with complex data stores such as SQL Server. You have practiced Agile rituals, understand RESTful and event-driven patterns, and know your way around cloud environments-AWS experience is ideal, though Azure or GCP knowledge is also valued. Clear communication in English, a habit of breaking problems into manageable parts, and a genuine curiosity for learning new tools round out your profile. Container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes, functional-programming thinking, and prior healthcare exposure are welcome but not required.
