We are a diverse, sustainable, and rapidly growing scale-up, and we are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team in Portugal.

Key outcomes

• Design, develop, test, and deploy resilient microservices while maintaining end-to-end responsibility for your code.
• Collaborate across functional teams, including product designers and fellow engineers, to drive innovation and improve platform efficiency.
• Advocate for high-quality development practices through documentation, bug fixes, and regular code refactoring.
• Participate in our dedicated Technical Weeks to foster innovation, knowledge sharing, and the exploration of new technologies.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience in software development with a focus on Object-Oriented Programming.
• Proven experience working on customer-facing products within industries such as e-commerce, fintech, or SaaS.
• Strong background in designing and deploying backend services that prioritize high availability and low latency.
• Solid understanding of API design principles.
• Practical experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Proficiency in Ruby is highly valued, though we welcome candidates eager to learn our primary stack.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
