About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is focused on our data intelligence infrastructure, where you will help us unlock the value hidden within the massive amounts of data we collect from restaurants worldwide. You will play a vital role in enabling our internal teams to make data-driven decisions while building tools that empower our engineers, analysts, and data scientists.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the software and infrastructure tools that allow our team to extract actionable insights and provide market intelligence to our merchant partners.
• Collaborate with product teams to design and implement both real-time and batch processing pipelines that meet our evolving business needs.
• Stay at the forefront of the industry by researching emerging open-source technologies and integrating those findings into our existing systems.

Requirements

We are seeking candidates who possess a strong background in backend engineering and infrastructure. You should have a genuine interest in machine learning, specifically in creating the tooling that helps data scientists work more efficiently. Alternatively, we welcome machine learning specialists who are eager to expand their expertise into the domains of data processing, batch processing, and stream processing.

Location

This position is based in our Austin office. We value the energy and innovation that happens when our team works together in person, so this role requires you to be on-site five days a week.
