Backend Software Engineer at Koalafi

What you bring

We are looking for a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. You will play a key role in developing our primary customer interfaces by building robust, high-quality APIs. Your work will center on a microservice-based architecture that leverages Golang, Postgres, and Kubernetes within an AWS environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing and maintaining scalable microservices that power our core ecommerce and payment platforms.
• Collaborating across functional teams to deliver seamless API solutions using GraphQL and REST.
• Engaging directly with stakeholders to ensure our systems meet the evolving needs of our business and customers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in software engineering and a passion for building enterprise-grade applications. We require a four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems. You should have at least two years of hands-on experience in application development, with a specific focus on Golang. We look for candidates who are comfortable working within a Scrum Agile framework and who possess the analytical skills to solve complex problems independently or as part of a team. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as you will be working with various partners, and you should have a proven ability to research and implement emerging technologies effectively.
