We are a rapidly expanding team based in Seattle, and we are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join us in our mission to make a tangible difference in the lives of millions.
Key outcomes
- Design, develop, and maintain our core ledger systems to ensure reliability and precision.
- Build and manage robust integrations with various payment processors.
- Operate and scale our internal treasury management APIs to support our growing user base.
- Identify, debug, and minimize system exceptions to maintain high performance.
- Establish sustainable best practices for DevOps and FinOps, including comprehensive monitoring and analytics.
- Collaborate with and mentor fellow engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Champion new practices that improve the customer experience and enable our company to scale.
- Take full ownership of projects from inception to completion.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience building and deploying software at scale.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working within the FinTech, payments, or related financial systems sectors.
- Proficiency in our core technology stack, which includes Go and MySQL, or a demonstrated ability to learn these tools quickly and independently.
- A data-driven mindset with strong fluency in SQL.
- Deep experience working with modern cloud technologies, specifically GCP.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to thrive in an environment that requires high ownership and creative problem-solving.
- The ability to translate complex business requirements into pragmatic, actionable technical plans.
- A commitment to efficient software development that prioritizes accuracy and user experience.
- Fluency in English.
