We are Addi, a leading financial platform dedicated to building the future of shopping, payments, and banking. As Colombia’s fastest-growing marketplace, we serve over 2 million customers and partner with more than 20,000 merchants to bridge the financial gap through innovative solutions like e-commerce services and unsecured credit. We are currently seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. In this role, you will work within our Lending team to design and maintain the systems that power our instant payment and credit products, helping us scale our impact across Latin America.
Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of the software you design, develop, test, and release into production.
- Architect resilient, scalable components and build new features using our JVM-based technology stack.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality solutions while contributing to our architecture decision records.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in backend development using JVM technologies such as Java or Kotlin.
- Proven ability to build and maintain high-performance systems in a production environment, including experience with Spring Boot.
- Strong proficiency in database management with PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Experience working with distributed systems, event-driven architecture using Kafka or SQS, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- A solid background in automated testing and a commitment to delivering secure, scalable APIs.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, with a collaborative mindset and a passion for fintech innovation.
