About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will act as a generalist engineer, focusing on the creation and support of the web services that form the backbone of our financial ecosystem. You will be responsible for balancing functional and nonfunctional requirements while collaborating across teams to advance our technological vision. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze complex issues to diagnose root causes and develop robust backend solutions that meet our business objectives.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a constant focus on system performance, reliability, and security.
• Monitor our backend infrastructure, troubleshoot bugs, and actively contribute to the scalability and evolution of our architecture.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you should bring a strong background in backend development and a commitment to high-quality engineering standards. We value candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• Extensive experience in designing, building, and integrating APIs using RESTful or GraphQL standards.
• Proven ability to deploy, monitor, and maintain software products within a production environment.
• A solid understanding of software design patterns and backend architectural principles.
• Experience delivering solutions through an iterative process with a focus on continuous optimization.
• Familiarity with Ruby and Ruby on Rails is highly beneficial.
• Experience with microservices architectures and AWS cloud services is considered a strong plus.

Location

This position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere.
