We are SpectrumAi, a mission-driven digital health company dedicated to transforming the field of Applied Behavioral Analysis through innovative technology. Our team consists of clinicians, engineers, and entrepreneurs who share a passion for solving complex problems to provide life-changing therapies. We are currently looking for a mid-level Backend Software Engineer to join us on a full-time, remote basis. In this role, you will help design the technical foundations of our products, work alongside cross-functional partners and offshore teams, and play a key part in executing our ambitious product roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Design robust technical architectures that address complex requirements and provide forward-looking solutions for your engineering squad.
- Perform thorough code and architecture reviews to help improve our development processes and maintain the long-term health of our codebase.
- Collaborate with your team to deliver high-priority features while proactively identifying and resolving communication challenges across our diverse, geographically dispersed organization.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional training.
- At least 2 years of experience in engineering and designing systems that scale rapidly.
- Proficiency in modern development tools and languages, specifically Python, Django, React, SQL, and REST APIs.
- Experience working in an early-stage startup environment, preferably with exposure to PHI-heavy systems and collaborating with outsourced engineering teams.
- A collaborative, humble mindset with a focus on business impact rather than just lines of code.
What we offer
