About the Role
We are searching for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. In this role, you will work within a dynamic feature team to design and maintain high-performance, secure, and scalable solutions. You will play a pivotal part in our digital transformation by contributing to our Back for Front architecture, which simplifies our information systems into global, contract-based APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure high code quality by championing best practices such as pair programming, code reviews, and test-driven development.
- Act as a technical lead who makes structural decisions and guides the team in solving complex engineering challenges.
- Design and deploy robust, secure, and scalable solutions using a continuous deployment approach.
Requirements
To succeed in this position, you should bring a strong background in software engineering and a collaborative mindset.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in NodeJS development with a strong interest in cloud technologies.
- Solid understanding of software development best practices, including clean architecture, design patterns, and writing testable code.
- Proficiency in English at a B2 level, as you will be collaborating with international partners and teammates daily.
- A passion for teamwork and a desire to contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment.
- Familiarity with our stack, including TypeScript, GCP, Kubernetes, and GitHub.
Location
This position is based in France, with the opportunity to work from our Decathlon Digital offices in either Lille or Paris.
