We are Grid, and we are working to change the financial landscape by creating tools that empower everyone to manage their financial future more effectively. Our app helps millions of people access cash, build credit, and optimize their taxes. We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team in Seattle on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will help us scale our fintech core by building reliable systems that move money efficiently. You will have the chance to work on high-impact projects, such as automating ledger reconciliations and managing our payment processor integrations, while helping us evolve our internal banking infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate our core ledger systems to ensure they are robust and scalable.
- Build and maintain critical integrations with various payment processors.
- Operate and scale our internal treasury management APIs while setting up sustainable practices for DevOps and FinOps.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience building and deploying software at scale.
- 5 or more years of direct experience working within fintech, payments, or similar financial systems.
- Strong proficiency in Go and SQL, along with a data-driven mindset.
- Deep familiarity with modern cloud technologies, specifically GCP.
- An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to take full ownership of projects in a fast-paced environment.
- A proven ability to translate complex business needs into clear, pragmatic technical solutions.
