The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our Money Platform team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our operations, building and scaling the core financial infrastructure that powers our products. You will collaborate closely with our business operations and product engineering teams to ensure our money movement systems are reliable and seamless. This position offers significant room for growth, with the potential to evolve into Principal Engineer or engineering management roles as we continue to expand. Your work will be mission-critical, as you will be responsible for designing and operating the systems that allow our customers to thrive.

A day in the life

• You will design, develop, and operate our core ledger systems while maintaining robust integrations with various payment processors.
• You will manage and scale our internal treasury management APIs to ensure our financial operations run smoothly.
• You will establish sustainable best practices for DevOps and FinOps, including monitoring and analytics, while mentoring fellow engineers to drive our technical standards forward.

Who you are

You are an experienced engineer who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal structure. You possess a high sense of ownership and enjoy solving technically challenging problems. Specifically, you bring the following to our team:

• At least 5 years of experience building and deploying software at scale.
• Over 5 years of experience working within FinTech, payment processing, or complex financial systems.
• Proficiency in Go and SQL, along with deep experience using modern cloud technologies like GCP.
• The ability to translate complex business requirements into pragmatic, effective technical plans.
• Fluency in English and a desire to work on-site with our team in the United States.
