By integrating AI and automation into real-time collaboration tools, we empower over 8,500 companies, including industry leaders like ClickUp and Branch Insurance, to resolve complex issues faster than ever. We are backed by top-tier investors like Sequoia Capital and Salesforce Ventures, and we take immense pride in our culture, having been recognized as a top workplace by Fortune, Inc. Magazine, and Forbes. We are currently seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our deliverability team and help us build the core infrastructure that connects our platform to the world.
What you'll be doing
- Take ownership of the critical services that power Front, leading architectural improvements to ensure our systems remain highly scalable and reliable.
- Partner with our infrastructure and systems teams to design and implement our next-generation architecture.
- Work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to conceptualize, develop, and test innovative new features.
What you'll bring
You are a seasoned engineer with a product-focused mindset who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. We are looking for someone who brings the following:
- Proven industry experience developing backend systems for large-scale internet services.
- Fluency in at least one dynamic language, such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.
- A strong history of successfully delivering complex projects even when faced with significant ambiguity.
- Expertise in architecting and operating high-throughput systems, asynchronous work queues, or high-volume storage solutions.
- A pragmatic approach to engineering that prioritizes effective solutions over rigid idealism.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
- Bonus points if you have experience with Amazon Web Services, Kafka, email stack protocols, or anti-spam infrastructure.
What you'll get
The salary range for this position is $153,000 to $200,000 USD. Beyond your base pay, we provide a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional and personal well-being:
- Equity compensation to ensure you share in our collective success.
- The flexibility of a hybrid work model, allowing you to work from home three days per week.
- Private health insurance fully covered by the company.
- Access to mental health support through Modern Health and family planning resources via Maven.
- Flexible Fridays to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
