We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our deliverability team, where you will manage the core systems that process millions of emails and messages every day.

What you'll be doing

• Take ownership of the critical services that power our platform and lead architectural improvements to ensure high reliability and scale.
• Partner with our infrastructure and systems teams to design and implement our next-generation architecture.
• Work alongside product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to conceptualize, build, and test innovative new features.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong product mindset and a passion for building software that advances how people work. We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• Extensive industry experience working on backend systems for large-scale internet services.
• Fluency in a dynamic programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.
• A proven track record of delivering complex projects, even when faced with high levels of ambiguity.
• Practical experience architecting and operating high-throughput systems, asynchronous work queues, or large-scale storage solutions.
• A pragmatic approach to engineering that prioritizes effective solutions over theoretical idealism.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environment.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Bonus points if you have experience with Amazon Web Services, deep knowledge of email stacks and RFCs, or familiarity with Kafka and email delivery integrations.

What you'll get
