Property Finder is looking for a Backend Software Developer

Property Finder is a leading proptech powerhouse in the MENA region, helping millions of users find their ideal homes through our advanced technology platform. Since our start in 2005, we have grown into a regional unicorn with a presence in six countries, and we are now looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our team in the United Arab Emirates on a full-time, on-site basis.

Responsibilities

Develop innovative new features and refactor existing projects within our large, cross-functional engineering department.
Write clean, scalable, and high-performance code that meets our rigorous quality standards.
Participate actively in team brainstorming sessions, contributing your technical expertise to shape our product roadmap.
Collaborate within small, agile teams to take ideas from initial concept through to fully tested production deployment.
Stay current with emerging cloud-native technologies and propose creative solutions to enhance our business objectives.

Must-haves

Strong proficiency in Object Oriented Programming and design patterns.
Professional experience with backend languages such as Java, Python, or Golang.
Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience working with MySQL and database performance tuning.
Practical knowledge of REST web services and version control using Git or GitHub.
Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Experience with Golang and ElasticSearch.
Familiarity with cloud-native tools like AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, AWS SQS/SNS, and the Serverless Framework.
Knowledge of DynamoDB, RabbitMQ, Redis, or Memcached.
Experience working with automated testing frameworks.
