Backend Lead at One Impression

At One Impression, we operate one of the world's largest influencer marketing platforms, connecting over 300 global brands like Amazon, Unilever, and Nestle with a massive network of more than 6.5 million influencers. We are currently active in 12 countries, and our mission is to capture 25% of global media ad spend by becoming the go-to platform for influencer marketing. What is this role?

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Lead to join our team in India on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a senior-level position requiring over 5 years of experience in software engineering. You will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and growing a high-performing engineering team while shaping our technology roadmap and fostering a culture of technical excellence.

What will you do?

• Lead and inspire a team of engineers by managing hiring, training, and career development to cultivate a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement engineering strategies that align with our broader business objectives and growth goals.
• Guide the team in designing and implementing scalable, robust software systems while driving the adoption of best practices in architecture and coding standards.

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in software architecture and design patterns. We are looking for someone who communicates effectively in English and brings the following technical expertise:

• Expertise in Python and Django for high-quality API Development.
• Solid experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in MySQL and Elasticsearch, along with experience in DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• A proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-impact software projects, ideally within a B2B or SaaS environment.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
