We are currently looking for a Senior Backend JVM Software Engineer to join our Lending team and help us continue this journey.

Key outcomes

• Take end-to-end ownership of the software you design, develop, test, and deploy into production.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to build high-quality experiences for our clients.
• Architect resilient, scalable components using our established patterns and contribute to our Architecture Decision Records.
• Develop new features using our JVM stack while maintaining high reliability through unit, component, and integration testing.
• Participate in daily code reviews and contribute to a culture of shared knowledge and mentorship.
• Deploy features frequently using our CI/CD pipeline and participate in our rotating on-call schedule.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in backend development using JVM-based technologies such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
• Proven track record of delivering scalable, high-performance systems in a production environment.
• Strong proficiency with Spring Boot, SQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Experience with distributed systems, including message brokers like SQS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration tools, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent ability to collaborate across functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
• A proactive mindset toward technical innovation, including the creative application of AI tools to enhance development workflows.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience working within the fintech or product-focused company sectors.
• Practical knowledge of reactive programming.
• Experience with advanced deployment strategies and CI/CD pipeline management.
