Role at a glance

We are seeking a Senior Backend IoT Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in the United States, where you will bridge the gap between physical systems in senior living communities and our cloud infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in scaling our platform and defining the next generation of our hardware and software solutions.

Your impact

• Build greenfield solutions that address complex, high-stakes problems within the senior living industry.
• Orchestrate software for thousands of on-premise systems while creating high-fidelity diagnostics for edge hardware.
• Develop full-stack services and collaborate with our engineering team to design methods for training machine learning models that track resident location.

What you'll need

We are looking for a self-motivated engineer who thrives in ambiguous environments and enjoys creative, resourceful problem-solving. You should be comfortable working in English and possess the following qualifications:

• Proven expertise in backend software engineering using object-oriented languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux, networking, and RF communication.
• Experience with distributed systems and AWS backend technologies is highly preferred.
• A background in developing high-availability production systems and customizing Linux distributions for commercial use.
