The opportunity

We are looking for an intellectually curious Senior Backend Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Israel. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will work alongside a talented group of engineers who are deeply passionate about building high-performance, innovative products that truly save lives. You will be a key player in maintaining our core backend and cloud infrastructure, ensuring that our systems remain robust, scalable, and secure as we continue to grow.

A day in the life

• You will design, build, and maintain the fundamental backend and cloud infrastructure that powers our life-saving services.
• You will tackle complex challenges related to system performance and scale, ensuring our data pipelines operate efficiently.
• You will implement critical security measures and establish infrastructure standards while leveraging modern tools like AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with a strong background in building production-grade systems. We value candidates who are independent, fast learners, and genuinely excited about mastering new technologies. To be successful in this role, you should have the following:

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer.
• Proven experience with functional programming, specifically using Scala, Clojure, or Lisp.
• Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and containerization using Docker.
• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong proficiency in English.
• An advantage if you have experience with event-streaming systems like Kafka, CI/CD pipelines, or React and Node.js.
