The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our remote-first team. In this role, you will tackle the complex technical challenges inherent in building a flexible financial platform. You will focus on designing abstractions that reduce custom code, managing data across disparate systems, and ensuring our services perform reliably in production. As an early member of our engineering team, you will play a significant role in defining our technical practices, shaping our company culture, and influencing the evolution of our product.

A day in the life

• You will design and implement robust backend solutions using a modern stack that includes Java, Spring, Hibernate, Redis, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and AWS.
• You will solve intricate problems related to distributed systems and algorithms to ensure our platform remains scalable and efficient.
• You will collaborate closely with the team to refine our engineering standards and contribute to the overall product strategy.

Who you are

You are a proactive and self-driven engineer who is deeply passionate about the craft of building software. You enjoy solving difficult problems and have a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

• At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• A deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• A collaborative mindset and a desire to work in an environment where the best ideas win.
• While experience with our specific technology stack is helpful, we value your ability to learn and adapt above all else.
