We are Terrascope, a climate-tech company dedicated to helping enterprises measure their carbon footprint and achieve decarbonization goals. Our platform serves the land, nature, and net-zero economy sectors by combining deep industry expertise with advanced machine learning and data science. Since our launch in 2022, we have expanded globally from our Singapore headquarters to support diverse industries ranging from agriculture and retail to manufacturing and transportation. We are currently seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for a full-time, remote position to help us build and maintain the scalable infrastructure that powers our SaaS solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support our product features.
- Build robust backend services using Node.js and Python while ensuring seamless integration with our database systems and middleware.
- Collaborate across teams to integrate machine learning models and maintain high standards for code quality through rigorous testing and CI/CD practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in backend engineering.
- Strong technical proficiency with Node.js, Python, and MongoDB.
- Experience managing infrastructure and deployment workflows using Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Deep knowledge of API security and authentication protocols, specifically OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- A proven track record of working within Agile environments and a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges.
