Backend Engineer at Supercharge

We are currently seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our hybrid team in Hungary, where you will help us build robust, scalable systems from the ground up.

Key outcomes

• Lead the development of stable, scalable Node.js back-end architectures from the initial design phase.
• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs.
• Contribute to the long-term technical vision by collaborating closely with our Tech Leads and Architects.
• Ensure high code quality through rigorous code reviews and the creation of clean, maintainable, and well-tested software.
• Integrate development workflows with modern CI/CD tools and contribute to our innovative, fast-moving project environment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience building applications and microservices using Node.js.
• Strong proficiency in SQL or NoSQL database management.
• A deep understanding of OOP and SOLID design principles.
• Practical experience with containerization tools like Docker.
• Familiarity with unit and integration testing, specifically using Jest.
• Experience with Prisma or TypeORM.
• A proactive interest in utilizing AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
• Intermediate proficiency in English to thrive in our international collaborative environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Professional experience working with the NestJS framework.
• Practical knowledge of orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Interest or prior experience in front-end development, particularly with React or Angular.
