Role at a glance

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a full-time position that can be performed remotely from anywhere. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our server-side logic and maintaining the microservices that power our platform.

Your impact

• Design, develop, and maintain robust server-side application logic.
• Manage the lifecycle of various microservices to ensure high performance and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with the team to integrate front-end components seamlessly with our backend systems.

What you'll need

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong technical foundation and a passion for building innovative solutions. We look for the following qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Expertise in object-oriented programming, specifically with Kotlin.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and UNIX/Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with databases and search engines like MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Working knowledge of front-end basics including JavaScript and HTML5.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent time management, and the ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Proficiency with version control tools like Git and a solid grasp of unit testing and debugging.
