At Pigment, we’re building an AI-driven planning platform that helps teams move faster and plan smarter, and we’re looking for a senior backend engineer to join us in that mission.
What you bring
We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer on a full-time basis to help us scale the services that process and aggregate millions of records in real time. You’ll work in a hybrid setup from our office in France and contribute to a product used daily by leading organizations such as Unilever, Snowflake, Siemens, and DPD. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Designing, building, and maintaining backend services that power our enterprise-grade platform.
- Optimizing performance and scalability to handle large volumes of complex, multidimensional data.
- Collaborating with frontend engineers and product managers to deliver features that meet both product and technical goals.
Requirements
You bring at least three years of professional experience in backend software engineering, ideally within a product-led or SaaS environment. You are comfortable working with C#/.NET, Java, Go, Rust, Python, or a similar language, and you understand the balance between delivery speed and technical excellence. You care about code quality, testing, observability, and scalability, and you communicate clearly with both engineers and product stakeholders. Fluency in English is required, and you hold yourself to high standards while remaining pragmatic in your approach.
