Backend Engineer at Codility

You will play a vital role in shaping CodeCheck, our core product used by millions of software engineers to evaluate their skills. What you'll be doing

• You will write clean, testable, and efficient Python code that is ready for production and easy to observe.
• You will design and implement high-availability, low-latency applications while managing data storage solutions and robust security protocols.
• You will collaborate closely with our product, research, and design teams to translate user requirements into innovative software features.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should be a seasoned professional with a strong background in SaaS and product-led environments. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Python developer with a deep understanding of Django, Docker, and REST web services.
• A solid grasp of public cloud operations, specifically AWS, and experience managing identity and access management systems.
• A track record of working within large codebases and a proactive approach to managing technical debt.
• Proficiency in modern development practices such as Trunk Based Development, Continuous Delivery, and TDD.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative mindset that thrives on knowledge sharing and code reviews.
