The opportunity

We are seeking a Backend Engineer to join our team and help scale our platform to reach even more families. You will be a core part of our engineering department, focusing on building the robust systems that power our innovative features and internal tools. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and wants to see their work directly impact the lives of parents worldwide. You will work in a hybrid capacity, collaborating closely with our product managers and frontend team to ensure our infrastructure is as reliable and supportive as the community we serve.

A day in the life

• You will design and maintain scalable backend systems that serve as the foundation for our platform features.
• You will lead the development of a new content management system to help our team efficiently create and personalize resources for parents.
• You will optimize our pipelines and developer tools to improve overall engineering efficiency and system performance.

Who you are

You are a mid-level engineer with 2 to 5 years of professional experience who thrives in a collaborative environment. You communicate clearly and are driven by the opportunity to tackle ambitious goals. Your technical toolkit includes:

• Strong proficiency in Python and modern backend frameworks.
• Experience working with distributed systems and scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise in designing RESTful APIs and managing database systems.
• A solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and observability best practices.
• Fluency in English, with a passion for our mission to empower families.
