WireScreen is a Sequoia-backed startup dedicated to creating a global intelligence platform. Our technology assists multinational corporations, regulators, and asset managers in monitoring complex supply chains and business partnerships. Our leadership team is composed of industry veterans, including a Pulitzer Prize winner and engineers who have successfully scaled platforms like Dropbox, Peloton, and Compass. We are currently looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our team in the United States. This is a full-time, hybrid position that requires your presence in our office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

• Design and iterate on reliable, scalable systems that ingest and analyze data at a massive scale.

• Propose and prototype innovative technology solutions to address complex, real-world business challenges.
• Enhance our internal technical processes, tooling, and documentation to ensure high-quality output.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience working as a backend software engineer.
• Deep proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• A proactive, open-minded approach to problem solving and a strong sense of urgency.
• A genuine passion for building software that solves tangible business problems.
• The ability to break down large, complex projects into manageable milestones.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• A growth mindset and a positive, collaborative attitude.

Preferred qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience managing and scaling data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience working with large datasets, particularly within a knowledge graph or similar structure.
• Familiarity with ReactJS for web application frontends.
• Experience working closely with data scientists, analysts, and other technical stakeholders.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $145,000 to $165,000. In addition to the base salary, we offer equity compensation and a hybrid work environment.
