Vinted is on a mission to make second-hand fashion the first choice for everyone, and we are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to help us scale our impact. Founded in Lithuania in 2008 and now a global unicorn, we connect millions of members across 20+ markets through our marketplace, shipping, and payment business units.
Responsibilities
- Design and build features within a cross-functional team to help our support agents resolve member issues more effectively.
- Manage high-throughput systems that process hundreds of thousands of messages and tickets daily.
- Improve key business metrics, including member satisfaction and resolution speed, through automation and AI-driven solutions.
- Take full ownership of your features, from initial analysis and design to implementation and deployment.
- Collaborate with your peers through code reviews, design discussions, and pair programming.
- Monitor and maintain your code using tools like Grafana, Datadog, and Kibana.
- Help us evolve our architecture by extracting services and moving toward greater autonomy.
Must-haves
- Extensive experience in software development and a strong command of high-level programming languages.
- A deep curiosity and a strong desire to master new technologies, including a willingness to learn Ruby on Rails.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative and drive improvements independently.
- Strong collaborative skills and a commitment to sharing knowledge within a team.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience working with Ruby on Rails.
- Knowledge of Golang.
- Experience with Machine Learning and AI integrations.

The salary range for this position is € 4,183 – € 5,850 gross per month.
