Backend Engineer at Clerkie

Since our launch in 2018, we have evolved from a consumer-facing app into a comprehensive platform that provides B2B software solutions, helping millions of Americans manage debt while assisting creditors in minimizing loan losses. With 41 million dollars in funding from partners like Citi Ventures and Left Lane Capital, we are a remote-first team of nearly 30 people working across the United States. What you'll be doing

• You will design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure that powers our platform.
• You will provide technical expertise to enhance our system's reliability, performance, and scalability while supporting new feature development.
• You will develop and expand our monitoring and alerting systems to ensure a seamless and high-quality experience for our users.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and a passion for building scalable systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• A degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience, with a strong preference for expertise in Node.js.
• A solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming best practices.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB.
• Proficiency with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and ELB, alongside general DevOps knowledge.
• The ability to work independently as a self-starter who manages priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills in English and a collaborative spirit.
