We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis, working from anywhere in the world.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of end-to-end solutions while influencing architectural decisions and improving our overall engineering practices.
- Collaborate within a high-impact product team to manage and enhance a sophisticated system consisting of over 100 microservices.
- Apply your product acumen to bridge the gap between complex technical challenges and business goals, ensuring our solutions provide tangible value to our users.
Requirements
We are looking for a mid-level engineer who is passionate about building high-quality software. You should have the following qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience working with Scala or other JVM-based languages.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management.
- Intermediate system design skills with the ability to choose the right tools and architectures for the job.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple business terms.
- Professional working proficiency in both English and Polish.
- A product-focused mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
While not required, it is a significant plus if you have experience with NoSQL databases, Kafka, the Akka framework, functional programming libraries, GraphQL, or container orchestration tools like Docker Swarm and Kubernetes.
