We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our hybrid team in Canada and help us continue building a platform that makes work radically easy for our customers.
What you'll be doing
- You will lead product engineering efforts from start to finish, ensuring we deliver meaningful value to our users through our web platform.
- You will play a key role in shaping our engineering strategy and refining our development processes as we scale.
- You will influence our software architecture by evaluating new and existing technologies while mentoring junior engineers on the team.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software development and a passion for building scalable systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and React.js.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with experience using MVC frameworks.
- A solid understanding of SQL and data modeling techniques.
- Comfortable working with Git and GitHub workflows.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
