We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our hybrid team in Canada and help us continue building a platform that makes work radically easy for our customers.

What you'll be doing

You will lead product engineering efforts from start to finish, ensuring we deliver meaningful value to our users through our web platform.
You will play a key role in shaping our engineering strategy and refining our development processes as we scale.
You will influence our software architecture by evaluating new and existing technologies while mentoring junior engineers on the team.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software development and a passion for building scalable systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:

At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and React.js.
Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with experience using MVC frameworks.
A solid understanding of SQL and data modeling techniques.
Comfortable working with Git and GitHub workflows.
Excellent communication skills in English.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
