Backend Engineer at Easyship

We are Easyship, and we are changing the way the world handles logistics for eCommerce. Our cloud-based shipping platform provides businesses of all sizes with the necessary tools to scale their operations globally. We are passionate about making borderless commerce accessible, and we are proud to support everyone from small business owners and crowdfunding campaigns to major global brands. We are currently looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team in Bangalore on a full-time basis. In this role, you will help us build and maintain our web applications, scale our RESTful APIs, and develop new products that integrate seamlessly with our existing platform.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the full product life cycle while writing clean, functional code for our web applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and set priorities for complex engineering challenges.
• Drive the development of new internal products while mentoring junior team members and contributing fresh ideas to help the business grow.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software development and a passion for building scalable systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 2 years of professional experience working with Ruby on Rails and SQL databases.
• A proven ability to write beautiful, maintainable, and reusable code that meets high standards for security and data privacy.
• Experience working within product teams at startups or scale-up companies.
• Familiarity with our core tech stack, including Git, Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
