About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team in a Full Time capacity. In this mid-level role, you will be a key contributor to our Product Engineering team, which builds the tools that grocery store managers and corporate supervisors rely on daily. You will focus on developing and optimizing the data infrastructure, APIs, and data products that keep our systems running efficiently as we continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines with a strong emphasis on retrieval speed and overall efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Machine Learning, Mobile, and Product Management, to ensure our customers have a seamless experience with high data accuracy.
- Refine our APIs and data architecture to ensure our infrastructure can scale effectively alongside our expanding customer base.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience working with backend systems and data-heavy applications.
- A proven track record of shipping high-quality code and contributing to complex, team-based projects.
- Strong knowledge of API design principles and data efficiency.
- Familiarity with our core technology stack, which includes Python, SQL, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and TypeScript.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for solving difficult data challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Location
This position is remote and can be performed from anywhere.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is 118000 CAD to 137000 CAD. We are proud to offer a flexible work environment that includes remote work options for our team members.
