What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our R&D center in Tel Aviv. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will work within a dedicated development team. You will be responsible for maintaining our high-quality, cutting-edge server software and building the robust, scalable infrastructure that powers our global ride-sharing services. You will also play a key role in developing the cloud-based tools that allow our dispatch operators and drivers to manage real-time rides at a massive scale.
What will you do?
- Develop the core components that integrate complex routing, real-time driver and customer management, and large-scale user communication into a reliable, mission-critical service.
- Design and implement effective cloud infrastructure scaling solutions by leveraging industry-standard tools.
- Create both proof-of-concept projects and production-ready systems to support advanced analytics, customer service operations, and shift management.
What makes you a great fit?
We are looking for someone who is a fast learner and comfortable navigating different programming languages to find the best tool for the job. To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
- A BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in backend programming using an object-oriented language.
- Proficiency with cloud-based deployments, specifically on platforms like AWS.
- An advantage if you have experience with Python, Go, Kubernetes, or serverless architectures.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- The ability to break down difficult, complex problems into simple, actionable solutions.
