About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will be instrumental in enabling our Data Science team to scale machine learning innovation. You will focus on supporting and deploying machine learning infrastructure across our business-critical services, ensuring that our backend systems are robust, performant, and ready for production.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Data Science team to deploy machine learning pipelines and endpoints, ensuring they are scalable and production-ready.
- Maintain and enhance our backend services by focusing on system reliability, performance, and clear ownership.
- Manage and build infrastructure using Terraform, ECS, and Lambda within a containerized AWS environment while improving our CI/CD workflows.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- At least 4 years of professional development experience using Python and deploying backend systems with frameworks like Django or FastAPI.
- Proven experience with containerized services and deployments on AWS.
- A strong background in collaborating with Data Science teams to move ML endpoints into production.
- Proficiency in SQL databases and infrastructure as code, with a preference for Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly CircleCI.
- The ability to troubleshoot production bugs independently and a proactive approach to code reviews and technical improvements.
