We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. At enmacc, we operate the largest over-the-counter trading market venue for energy and environmental commodities in Europe. Our platform is transforming the energy sector by digitalizing trading processes for over 500 companies and 2000 members. Since our founding in 2016, our team of 70 professionals has been dedicated to improving market efficiency, liquidity, and the global energy transition. We are seeking someone to help us solve complex technical challenges while shaping the future of our trading infrastructure in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the planning and execution of our feature roadmap while contributing to high-level system architecture and design.
Design robust data storage solutions and evaluate our platform performance to implement highly scalable backend systems.
Collaborate across departments to evolve our development workflows and mentor team members to ensure we maintain a modern, efficient tech stack.

Requirements

A degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience in software development.
Strong proficiency in Java, Hibernate, and Spring Boot, along with a deep understanding of relational databases and RESTful APIs.
Solid grasp of the software development lifecycle, software patterns, and the software testing pyramid.
A proactive, result-oriented mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Bonus points for experience with Kotlin, AWS, Infrastructure as Code, and event-driven architectures.
