About the Role
We are looking for a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this remote position, you will work on our high-traffic platform that handles hundreds of millions of requests every day. You will play a vital role in maintaining the low-latency demands of our advertising technology while contributing to the flexible, open-source-focused architecture that keeps our users in the driver's seat.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and construct a robust marketing platform capable of reaching target audiences across various channels at any time.
- Develop and maintain the ETL pipelines that serve as the backbone for our advertising buying platform.
- Partner with Product and Project Leads to translate complex technical concepts into actionable solutions while optimizing our existing product suite.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a solid foundation in software engineering and a passion for building scalable systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Between 2 and 4 years of professional experience with Python development.
- At least 2 years of experience working with SQL, including database table design.
- A strong understanding of microservice architectures and modern design patterns.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS or GCP, along with tools like Kubernetes and Istio.
- Proficiency with Git, the HTTP lifecycle, and working within Linux/UNIX environments.
- Experience with Pandas, Junit, and writing effective unit and functional test cases.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases like Redis, DynamoDB, or Cassandra is considered a plus.
Location
This position is 100% remote and can be performed from anywhere within the United States.
