Backend Engineer at Humansecurity

We currently verify the humanity of over 20 trillion interactions every week for some of the world’s largest internet platforms. Following our recent merger with PerimeterX and the acquisition of clean.io, we are at a pivotal moment in our mission to disrupt the economics of cybercrime. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Operational Excellence team in Israel, where you will help us make our systems smarter, faster, and more efficient.

Key outcomes

• Design and develop cloud-based, high-scale systems capable of processing massive datasets with high reliability.
• Maintain end-to-end ownership of your projects, guiding them from initial architecture and design through to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Drive innovation by continuously optimizing our infrastructure to enhance overall system performance and scalability.
• Partner with cross-functional research and engineering teams to integrate products into cohesive, high-impact technology solutions.
• Uphold the highest standards for system security and ensure full compliance with global data protection regulations.
• Proactively monitor system health and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal uptime and performance.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience in backend system design and implementation.
• Proven expertise in building, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud-based services.
• Advanced proficiency in multithreaded programming, specifically for managing high-load environments.
• A deep understanding of object-oriented design principles to ensure code remains modular and maintainable.
• Strong knowledge of architectural frameworks and industry best practices for large-scale backend services.
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for solving complex technical problems and exploring new methodologies.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working within hybrid operational models.
• A background in performance monitoring and troubleshooting for distributed systems.
