Backend Engineer at Pipe Technologies

Pipe serves as a modern capital platform designed to provide entrepreneurs and business owners with fast, frictionless, and dilution-free financing. By converting various revenue streams into immediate working capital, we empower companies to enhance their cash flow and scale operations on their own terms. We are currently seeking a Backend Engineer to join our team in a fully remote, full-time capacity.

In this role, you will primarily focus on the systems and code that drive our go-to-market initiatives. You will collaborate closely with our product, marketing, and sales teams to integrate essential CRM and marketing tools into our core infrastructure. While your work will be central to our growth efforts, you will also play a key role in designing new systems to support our evolving application needs.

Key outcomes

• Develop and maintain integrations between our backend systems and various third-party SaaS platforms.
• Design and implement new tooling to enhance our CRM capabilities and overall application architecture.
• Stay informed on emerging technology trends and evaluate their potential impact on our business.
• Actively contribute to our engineering culture by maintaining high standards and supporting your teammates.
• Take end-to-end ownership of your projects while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure we are building the right solutions for our users.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience developing high-quality backend software.
• Practical knowledge of web backends, database management, ETL pipelines, and developer tooling.
• Proven experience working with third-party SaaS integrations.
• A track record of building, deploying, and maintaining complex systems in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in English for both written and verbal communication.
• A passion for engineering fundamentals and a commitment to building high-quality, user-focused software.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with our current technology stack, which includes Go, PostgreSQL, Pyspark, BigQuery, Kubernetes, Pulumi, Buildkite, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Interest in the financial sector and a desire to help companies access sustainable capital.
• Experience working within a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
