We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. At Doxel AI, we are tackling the massive construction industry by providing the observability that teams need to stay on schedule and within budget. While construction is the second-largest industry globally, it often lacks the automated feedback loops found in software. We use computer vision and machine learning to help teams building everything from hospitals to data centers make better decisions. Our platform is trusted by major organizations like Shell Oil, Genentech, and Kaiser, and we are currently scaling our operations to meet growing market demand.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the APIs that power our front-end applications.
- Expand our ETL pipelines to support our evolving business requirements.
- Build diagnostic tools to monitor pipeline performance and ensure high data quality.
- Collaborate with our Computer Vision and Machine Learning teams to deploy advanced 3D models.
- Manage the complexity of our workflows by introducing flexible and simple paradigms for our data flow and computation infrastructure.
- Balance the need for speed with the necessity of rigorous engineering standards in a fast-paced startup environment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working with Python, C++, or a functional programming language.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a backend or full-stack role within an agile, cloud-based environment.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with ETL pipelines.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes and Airflow.
- Strong SQL skills and deep knowledge of database management, including modifying queries and tables.
- A commitment to Test Driven Development.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- While not required, previous experience with computer vision or machine learning development is considered a plus.
What we offer
The base salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $180,000. Actual pay is determined by factors such as your location, skill level, qualifications, and overall experience. In addition to the base salary, we provide the following perks:
