The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in India on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will be a core contributor to our technology platform, designing and maintaining the scalable microservices that power every step of our customer journey. You will work closely with our engineering and design teams to ship high-impact features, helping us maintain a high standard for clean, modular, and performant code. This is an opportunity to influence our architectural standards and contribute to a system that handles billions in coverage every month.

A day in the life

• You will collaborate with fellow engineers and designers to conceptualize, develop, and deploy new product features.
• You will design, build, and maintain robust APIs while creating efficient, reusable libraries that improve our overall development velocity.
• You will take ownership of system performance by identifying bottlenecks, solving complex technical challenges, and participating in rigorous code reviews to ensure engineering consistency.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with at least four years of full-time experience, and you thrive in environments that value technical excellence. You are comfortable working across the stack and possess a deep understanding of distributed systems and high-scale web architectures. Your background includes the following:

• Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in Golang and Python.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, React, and AWS.
• A strong grasp of software engineering best practices, including design patterns, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms, along with a keen eye for security and performance.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical specifications clearly.
