About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will take ownership of our microservices architecture while fully embracing DevOps principles. You will work within a dynamic environment, leveraging a robust AWS-based tech stack to solve complex technical challenges and improve system resiliency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-quality code using Java or Kotlin.
• Design and implement new features by applying Domain-Driven Design principles.
• Refactor legacy components and maintain a rigorous focus on testing to ensure system stability.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you should bring a strong background in backend engineering along with the following qualifications:

• Expertise in Java or Kotlin and experience with the Spring framework.
• Proficiency with modern infrastructure and data tools, including Docker, RabbitMQ, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Solr.
• Deep understanding of AWS services such as S3, ECS, CloudWatch, RDS, and Lambda.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, paired with a pragmatic, quality-driven mindset.

Location

This position is based in Barcelona. We operate under a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of 6 days per month in the office to foster team collaboration, while offering flexibility for the remainder of your time.
