Backend Engineer at Enso

The role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a foundational role where you will help build and scale our next-generation infrastructure. You will work alongside colleagues who have deep expertise in web3, MEV, and custody, giving you the chance to shape the future of our platform while expanding your own technical knowledge.

Core responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services that communicate with smart contracts across multiple blockchain networks.
• Collaborate closely with our smart contract engineers to optimize our contract interactions and overall architecture.
• Take ownership of the research and integration of new DeFi protocols, while actively contributing ideas to improve our products, processes, and services.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in backend engineering and a passion for building secure, high-quality systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Significant experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• A solid understanding of Ethereum, including its JSON RPC and the EVM.
• A security-first mindset when writing code.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
• Nice to have: Experience writing smart contracts in Solidity, familiarity with Rust, and a strong sense of how your technical decisions impact our users and product.
