Backend Engineer at Cherrytechnologies

We are currently looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our collaborative and growing engineering team.

What you'll be doing

• You will manage server-side web application logic and oversee the development and maintenance of our various microservices.
• You will handle the integration of front-end components to ensure a cohesive user experience.
• You will contribute to the overall software architecture, ensuring our systems remain scalable and efficient as we grow.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in software engineering and a passion for building innovative applications. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming, specifically with Kotlin.
• A solid grasp of large-scale software architecture, networking, distributed systems, and UNIX or Linux environments.
• Experience working with databases and search engines such as MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• A foundational understanding of front-end technologies including JavaScript and HTML5.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, effective time management, and the ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Proficiency with version control tools like Git and a strong aptitude for debugging and unit testing.
