Backend Engineer at Cision

What is this role?

We are looking for a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position available to candidates currently residing in Bulgaria. In this role, you will work with the latest LTS versions of Java and Spring to manage data at scale from the world’s most influential social networks and build the APIs that power our customer insights.

What will you do?

• Develop high-quality, testable, and well-documented microservice solutions using cutting-edge technologies to meet our business objectives.
• Build and maintain highly parallel data processing pipelines and fluent RESTful APIs.
• Design, implement, and improve our services while collaborating with your team to define accurate domain models and adopt industry best practices.

What makes you a great fit?

We are looking for someone who brings a collaborative spirit and a strong technical foundation to our engineering team. You should have:

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience working as a developer on production systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring framework, specifically Java 17.
• Solid experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Practical knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience building or running large-scale applications within a PaaS or SaaS cloud environment.
• Fluency in the English language.
• Bonus points if you have experience with Redis, Kafka, Docker, or Kubernetes.
