What you bring

We are looking for a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. This role is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and operates in a hybrid capacity, requiring you to be onsite three days per week. You will be instrumental in designing high-performance systems and maintaining the infrastructure that our customers rely on daily. Your primary responsibilities will include the following:

• Designing and implementing solutions for complex technical challenges while leading mid-size projects from initial concept through to testing.
• Writing high-quality, maintainable code that adheres to our established engineering standards.
• Collaborating with cross-functional partners and teammates through active participation in code reviews, technical design sessions, and team ceremonies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in backend development and a collaborative spirit. We require a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience, along with at least two years of professional experience in backend or full-stack engineering. Proficiency in a compiled language such as Go, Java, C, or C++ is essential. You should be comfortable troubleshooting code, conducting thorough code reviews, and writing unit tests. We value candidates who have experience with REST APIs, NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset are vital as you will be working closely with others to build performant, scalable systems.

What we offer

We are committed to providing competitive compensation for our team members. The expected salary range for this position is $105,000 to $120,000 USD. In addition to your salary, we support a flexible work environment to help you balance your professional and personal life.
